Using Photoshop editing skills to layer and blending pictures together forming a montage for an inspirational quote.

Process (Programs, Tools, Skills, FOCUS principles): In working in the process of my design, I first thought of a spiritual or enlightening message and picture in my head. I then sketched it. When working with photoshop with an 8.5x11in I didn’t think that the concept worked, so I readjusted it. I grabbed multiple pictures, resized them, and arranged to the way I wanted them and then set them to appropriate layers. After that, I made a mask for every layer and started to use the brush tool in gray in between every image. I mostly just played around with the brush tool and the opacity levels of every image. I finished off my selecting my text to appropriate fonts and coordinate to align in certain areas.

Message: The message that I was trying to get out and express was to inspire others to not feel like they are limited and that they can continue to aim for higher and better things.

Audience: the audience I was going towards anyone looking for inspiration, anyone feeling restricted or stuck in their lives, and anyone looking for improvements. It would probably aim well with BYU-I students as well.

Top Thing Learned: I learned quite a lot in this project. One huge factor that I struggled was whenever I exported or printed my design they are over contrasted. I still have a longs way from mastering Photoshop. I also struggled to fully blend the areas that lacked gradients in them. From black to light blue was quite a hassle to play around with. Also, for some images that already had a harsh transition, it made it less natural to layer it with another image and blend it appropriately
